歷史背景
1985 年初，蘋果首批彩色 CRT 顯示器問世：首先是面向 Apple III 和 Apple IIe（需加裝相應擴充套件卡）的數字 RGB 顯示器 Monitor 100，隨後很快推出了分別面向對應機型的複合影片顯示器 14 吋 ColorMonitor IIe（後更名為 AppleColor Composite Monitor IIe）和 ColorMonitor IIc（後更名為 AppleColor Composite Monitor IIc）。這些 Apple 顯示器均支援 Apple II 雙倍高解析度標準的最高 560×192。
